United Methodist Christian School, in partnership with families, is committed to helping children discover and develop abilities that will shape their future. It is our goal to build a strong Christian character in each child as well as nurture each child’s mind, body and spirit for success throughout life.

Program Philosophy

It is the philosophy of United Methodist Christian School that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring, and discovery. Preschool and elementary children are creative and receptive.

Our staff strives to nurture and encourage these qualities in the children who attend. The school’s purpose is to provide an atmosphere that encourages spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development of the child as a whole.

Planned within the framework of philosophy and purpose, United Methodist Christian School’s curriculum includes learning about and singing praise to God; sharing and conversation time; stories, songs, and dramatic finger plays; creative expression through art activities and crafts; games and large muscle activities; food preparation; science and nature activities; field trips throughout the community; an exposure to shapes, colors, numbers, and letters, and sounds; and celebration of birthdays and holidays.
