Training Classes To Be Held

United Methodist Christian School will be hosting two trainings, one in February and another in March, that we invite you to participate in.  Following is information on both classes being offered. Event Name: Active Body, Active Brain-NEW! February 9, 2012 6:30 PM- 8:30 PM  – 686

Description: This training is for individuals working with children ages 2-5 years old. As part of the “I am Moving, I am Learning (IMIL)” training series that addresses childhood obesity, participants will learn the meaning of the phrase, “the body trains the brain”. Participants will also learn the functions and structure of the brain and how it relates to the brain development of preschool children. Interactive activities that stimulate the brain and support skill development will be shared.

Description: If you are looking for a high energy training and are working with children ages 2-5, then this is the training for you! This training is part of the “I am Moving, I am Learning” (IMIL) training; a proactive approach for addressing childhood obesity in Head Start Children.
